Your guide to exploring the world’s neighbourhoods, one leisurely step at a time.

We believe the only way to truly experience a place is by walking its streets, strolling its laneways and wandering through its hidden arcades and back alleyways. So we invite you, the seasoned adventurer or first-time traveller, to indulge your curiosity — to wander off the beaten path, immerse yourself in local flavours, unearth hidden gems and embrace the art of taking it slow.

About us

We are Tim and Steph, two creatives hailing from the vibrant city of Melbourne, Australia. Whilst we find inspiration in the eclectic culture and streets of our hometown, it’s a shared wanderlust that defines our adventurous spirit. We love nothing more than spending a day, a weekend, or even a whole week, walking from one end of a city to the other, wearing out our shoes and immersing ourselves in a place. From saying “I do” in our favourite city, Paris, to getting lost in the labyrinth of Venice. From boundless exploring in Tokyo, to navigating foreign streets on the ‘wrong’ side of the road. We find inspiration and creativity in every journey we take.

Fuelling our adventures is a passion for food, coffee, design and music. We’re proud coffee snobs (sorry!) on the hunt for the perfect brew wherever we go. As foodies at heart – and stomach – we love discovering new places to eat, whether it’s a just-opened spot in our own neighbourhood or a Michelin-starred restaurant halfway across the world. Our shelves at home are overflowing with books from our journeys, on design, art, fashion, architecture and travel – possibly the worst souvenirs we could pack in our suitcase!

We love researching a new city, our curiosity leading us on a hunt for the very best of every destination we visit. For each trip we plan, we sort through countless information on dated tourist attractions, overpriced restaurants and Instagram-famous cafes, to find the hidden gems and local treasures. We gather recommendations from locals, friends or family who have visited – the unique places you won’t read about in blogs. Then we plot all our research on a (carefully categorised!) Google map to take with us. When we return home we get endless joy in sharing our favourite places and tips with anyone who might follow in our footsteps.

This has led us to create mosey – a way for us to share our discoveries, not just with friends and family, but also with you.

Fun facts?

#1

Tim’s shoe collection (solely Onitsuka Tigers) is at least 3 times bigger than Steph’s and he has socks in every colour and pattern to match his shoe choice.‌

#2

Steph plays alto saxophone and performs in an 18-piece big band which is as fun (and loud) as you’d imagine.

#3

At home we share our lives with Lotti, our long and loveable wire haired dachshund who loves a road-trip as much as we do.

Travel photos Tim and Steph walking around in various cities are shown stacking on top of each other.

About our digital neighbourhood guides

Inspired by our wanderlust and love for exploration and discovery, each mosey guide focuses on a lesser-known neighbourhood that is best explored on foot.

Our curated guides showcase the very best of each destination, ensuring you can spend less time researching and more time roaming. From restaurants and bars, to coffee spots, retail and more, we hand-pick some of our favourite places and share hidden treasures. Plus we’ve included ‘sidewalks’ if your exploring takes you further afield. Savour the journey at your own pace.

Each mosey guide includes;
Curated list – a comprehensive and easy-to-navigate directory of our favourite places.
Custom map – an interactive map with colour-coded pins, for easy use while on the move.
